Just want to say Hi from South East England! Came across this iconic classic bargain and couldn't resist. 1st K bike so lots to learn. I suspect my first job will be to clean up all the earth tags as the indicators were playing up (all going off hazard style when indicating left!). I know that there are a couple of decals are missing, but otherwise first impressions are very good for a 26 year old bike.

That's the war shed just behind the bike!

Not a bad looking bike as far as bricks go...the tires look a little dirty.
On the other hand, I am a bit envious. Hard to find a K1 as nice as that around here.
Welcome, enjoy setting up your maintenance baseline. Outside of those dirty tires, it looks like a nice bike to work on.

What's in the shed? Mostly 70's & 80's Japanese and Italian machinery. This is my 1st German bike (though I do/have owned plenty of German cars, though sadly no classics!). I'm sure I can find some tyre black somewhere!

warshed ≠ war shed
warshed = washed

Welcome. Nice looking bike. Something about the K1 just says refinement :bmwsmile . Thanks for the correction Ed, as not everyone here speaks a foreign language :2thumbup: .

Nice looking find. I doubt I get unfolded after more than an hour or two of riding.

That is a sweet looking K1! I've always liked the blue/yellow combination the most. Enjoy your new brick. :curvy-road

Very nice It's been a long long time since I've actually seen a K1 on the road in QLD probably 10 years plus. Welcome to the asylum from OZ.
