Title: 1985 K100 LT conversion to round standard headlight
Post by: PNTdickson on February 23, 2017, 10:01:14 AM
Hello All,

Have removed my fairing and purchased a standard headlight (round) and associated headlight fairing.  Question - are specific headlight brackets needed for the round headlight?

Thanks.  Paul

Thanks for the quick reply.  The pictures of the fairing and headlight are attached.  Just not sure about the headlight bracket.  Thanks very much.

Do you have the rear panel for the headlight cowl? Scroll down through this article (http://www.kbikeparts.com/classickbikes.com/ckb/1.my.k.bikes/10_K75F/k75f.3.build.htm) to see illustrations and a bit of explanation concerning this assembly. Attached is the part illustrated (red arrow) in the MAX BMW fiche.

Yes, I do have the back panel.  I was thinking that an additional bracket was needed.  Your included diagram makes it pretty clear.  That is very helpful.  Thanks very much for the clarification.
