My new to me K1100rs is a bit short of reliable information regarding servicing, can anyone tell as I'm unsure of what engine oil is in there at the moment, if it's ok to drain it, flush it then put the oil of my choice in? As for the gearbox, I'm gonna just drain it and put in new fully synthetic oil, is this ok?
Oh here's a pic of my new baby.

For my K bike, I just went to Halfrauds and bought whatever seemed a good deal at the time as long as its within spec. I got Mobil 1 20/50 semi synth last time out. I still use the Castrol EPX 75/90 mineral for the gearbox and FD. Since you don't know the history why don't you do air filter, plugs, fork oil and a brake bleed as well while you're at it so you know where you are.

Pretty bike! And it's really, really RED!
You didn't get the owners manual? My old airheads always had a wealth of service info in their manuals. But then, they had proper toolkits as well. The newer bikes seem to have less of that. :-(
