Title: '87 K75s- Swapping stock instrument cluster for simple tach/speedo
Post by: dcporter91 on December 22, 2016, 02:01:01 PM
Have removed the instrument cluster (working properly) from my K bike and now looking for a simple tach+speedo to mount near the forks. Any information on finding a tach+speedo that would be compatible with the bike? Wanting a simple, analog look.

The Bricks don't use a speedo gear drive so you need to get a digital gauge. There are some round face gauges ( Koso and Acewell make some) there may be some that have a digital needle on the face but I haven't seen any. You can get the regular digital gauges from on EBay every now and then at good deals. I don't know of any plug in gauges that will work with the rear wheel sensor without some modification of the signal. I use a digital Acewell with a sensor on the front wheel and the tach connected to the #1 spark plug.
