hi guys,
1985 k100 build.
After rebuilding the loom I am at a loss as to what connects to this plug....
Bikes left frame side.
2 wire plug
Green/black stripe wire
Brown wire
-
My guess is grip heaters.
-
Ok.
Thanks.
The bike originally had those, but I removed them.
None of those plugs on the aftermarket warmers match the bikes loom plug, so I suspect the previous owner, unable to find the matching plug, wired in his own version.
It was a horrible birds nest of wires which was why I threw them in the " no longer required " bin.
-
Ok.
Thanks.
Did I win a bottle of Techron—or a gift card for one?

Just good will to all men/woman :2thumbup:

That's going up on eBay.

Hi
I am not 100% sure where you are there, but I am thinking Choke light. The plug is on the left side around where I think you are and goes to a sensor on the throttle body. I need a bigger context picture.
All of the 2 prong switch connectors used the same plug as far as I remember. I had Clutch lever, Brake light, Choke that used the same plug and switch.
The only disconnected thing left when I finished rebuilding my 83 RS was the extra instrumentation connection for the volt and temp gauge.

agree with JM. choke (really "fast idle") light. should be under tank, in loom just to the left of the center frame bar.

Ok thanks , I will check the choke switch block.

It is the connector for the heated grips.
It has the correct colour code (green/black and brown), choke is violet/white and brown.
It has the correct pin config (flat pins, arranged as a T), choke has round pins.
The choke connector is also in the picture, beside the connector in question.

Noted, thank you.
