Title: K100LT Windshield Height
Post by: dave33333 on October 17, 2016, 06:54:05 PM
the new to me '87 K100LT came with a clearview shield that is 24" from top to bottom.  The top of the shield is right at eye-level.  Does anyone know the height of the original windshield that came with the bike?  I'd like to get a shorter shield (hopefully an original one if it is shorter) that doesn't interfere with my sight-lines

thanks

I believe 21" 24" & 27'' clear or tinted were available. In Oz there used to be a company that did custom sizes I can't see the US being any different.
Regards Martin.

If that's the baseline from which you're working, dave, there are several companies that make other heights. Parabellum (http://parabellum.com/K100RT-LT-K75RT-Windshield-System-P4.aspx) is one of them.

thanks for the replies.  Clearview make three sizes, 21", 24", and 27"  I spoke to one of their reps and was told that they could take my existing 24" windshield and cut it down to 21" for $40 plus shipping.  I think that's the route I'm going to go
