Iv'e started now so I had better finish :yow. I have posted a picture in the welcome section " Clymer manual ordered ! " with what I'm starting out with , l took a lot of bandwidth, sorry. When I find out how to down size I will post pictures of progress. I am busy stripping and cleaning. ABS modules are gone, I have never ridden a bike with ABS , my other bikes don't have it so I don't see a problem. With the fairings seat , side panals its still a bulky looking beast but I like it.
Not started it yet, its only done 23300 miles, but I will change all fluids , filters and fuel lines etc, it last ran from what I can gather from previous owner 2 years ago. The tank looks clean, hopefully the dreaded damper is ok. The plan is to retain clocks but hide their bulk inside a modified fairing constructed from the original, narrowing it and replacing the headlight with a round unit. Would like clip on bars, but want comfort so undecided ?
Getting lot of inspiration from you guys and look forward to sharing ideas. Jez

Made a bit of progress on the k project but have not sussed the image down sizing thing yet, working on it :dunno2:. Not started the beast yet, mostly been chopping bits out, abs and associated wiring and hard ware etc. Various brackets fixings, chopped down the standard seat to a single seat, half the foam had been chewed out by a rodent. Fortunately no apparent damage to any wiring.Ordering various bits of the net, some stainless manifold studs, oil filter , oil filter removal and fit tool, second hand clutch leaver and choke assembly.
I have removed the guts from the standard exhaust and shorted it a far bit , the end can is removable so I can pack it if needed!. As said before would like to retain some sort of fairing , thinking of dropping the original a few inches and turning the original bars over so to give it a sporty and more aggressive look , do people think this would work ? I think it would help preserve the lines of the bike ?. Jez

Think I have mastered photo resizing with the help of my daughter, here is a picture of the shorted exhaust.
