Ordered some sets of crush washers for my K100RS from Bob's, and they're copper. Many I see are aluminum. It's a small thing, but does it matter? The copper ones don't seem to "crush" the same.

The copper ones look better with green accessories.

It's cheaper to buy a whole assorted kit, they can be had in aluminium or copper. I get mine from the local Sunday market, but I believe you can get them from your famous Harbour Freight.

I've had the same from Max's. All of the oil plug's have alu washers yet the brake lines use copper ones.
I wouldn't loose any sleep over it and just use them. Copper is not quite as soft as aluminum, but copper is still softer than steel.
If you are working with brake line banjo bolts, be careful and don't over tighten them and break them.
