Hey all,
My rear brake was losing pressure so I bled it and it seems fine. However now its locked, but in reverse. I can't press it down. Sometimes I can. It feels like its completely seized.
I rested my foot on it and it seems like it would engage and disengage that issue randomly.
My ABS brain is dead, is this something that could be related to it going out? I can't understand how it would do something like this.

Are you writing that sometimes the rear brake pads seize the disc then won't release it and sometimes they won't touch the disc at all, Lucas?

They won't touch the disc at all. It's as if something is jammed on the lever hinge and I can basically stand on it and it doesn't move.
The weird quality is that it is random as to when it releases or freezes. On a ride, I kept a small amount of pressure on the lever, and could feel it give and freeze in random intervals. I can't predict it at all.
Thats why I thought maybe my dead ABS brain was causing haywire stuff, so I thought maybe I should remove that.

Near as I can tell, you've had the bike since 2013. Was this bleeding of the rear brake the only time you've bled either brake? How many hours, days, weeks or months was it "fine" after the bleeding. There could be sludge in the line causing some problems. Try bleeding it again.
If the brake was "losing pressure" then your rear brake cylinder might be faulty. Check the brake cylinder boot for leakage. Check the line connections for tightness. Disconnect the lines from the cylinder and see if the cylinder's piston can be moved. The piston could be intermittently seizing; its bore could be damaged. The rear brake pistons could also be seized.
Your Clymer manual should have the procedures you need.
