Title: Distinguished Gentlemens Ride
Post by: TrueAce on September 25, 2016, 06:36:04 PM
How many of you have heard of the Distinguished Gentlemens Ride for Mens Health, specifically prostate cancer and men's suicide. It began originally in OZ, and has spread to 60+ countries around the world, raising tons of money. So I signed up to ride in Ashville, NC; they encourage vintage bikes and "dapper" riders, everyone a gentleman, of course. Based on that I couldn't understand how it began in OZ :dunno.
So, representing K-Bikes, the only one, and sole K-Sidecar, I joined 113 other gentlemen today for the ride, and we raised over $5000 locally. It was extra special because the event director asked me to transport the official videographer, a comely miss by the name of Yvonne, who had a really big pair of cameras
That gave me license to roar ahead of the pack to the spots for videoing the riders, then chase through the pack. We only rode about 20 miles through Asheville, part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and finished at the Highland Brewery.A good cause, and a good ride. Check your area for a ride next year. Here are a few pics.......

Ace you are a disappointment, no pic of Yvonne and her pair of really big cameras. I like a good pair of Leica's.
Regards a sad and disappointed Martin.

Sorry, Martin, at the end of the ride, just as I was about to get her business card in case I ever need to hire a videographer, her husband walked up, some mousey non-biker dude.
Hey, also sorry my pics are disoriented.....they are vertical on my computer. :dunno2:

What a wonderful idea!  I did not know this existed. Going to the website not to see about doing one out here.
Solid beard by the way. Good show.
