Title: Angle Iron for M/C lift

Numerous posts here on various ways to lift a K model but I don't see where the angle iron would be attached to the left side of the cycle.  Does anyone have a pic they can post?  I want to use my HF motorcycle jack to work on my K75.

From the looks of the engine and angle iron, I can readily see the right hand side of the engine, shown on the left pic.  The pic on the right appears to show the engine turned 90° to the right.  My question is "where does the angle iron attach to the left side of the engine--or, is it not necessary to have angle iron bolted on the left side of the cycle?

As with the right side, the left side angle iron mounts to the two M8 holes provided on the oil pan to mount the lower fairing.

The oil pan on the left side of the motorcycle has a protrusion caused by the oil filter bay.  So, to make the angle iron fit correctly, you need to place a couple of spacers between the angle iron and oil pan holes.  On mine, I found some M10 nuts that were of the correct thickness to serve as a pacer.  I silver soldered the nuts to the back side of the angle iron so that they would be a permanent fixture on the jig.  I used a M8 clearance drill to make sure that the actual mounting bolts would be a slip-through fit.

Maybe I haven't looked low enough but all I saw on the left side of the engine are the factory crash bar and the 3 header pipes.  I tried to post a picture above but not sure it is visible.

The OEM crash bar bolts on using both of those holes.  You'll have to remove the left hand crash bar to access the holes for this purpose.
