Title: Where do these wires go?
Post by: frankenwing on August 15, 2016, 02:54:59 PM
Working my way through all the mysteries and fixes that need solved on this bike. Picked up a couple weeks ago and I've narrowed down all the wiring issues, but the only remaining mysteries left to solve is where these connectors are supposed to go.

Its an 1987 K75. I've been combing over the wiring diagram but I can't find a connection that matches any of these combinations. Can anyone shed some light on this one for me?

This connection (of which, you'll notice the grey/blue wire plugs in with a grey/black wire ??)...

...Then splits off into these 2 connectors (from the bottom half of the above connector)

That orange and green connector doesn't seem to have any where to go.

Fuel level gauge (orange), water temp gauge (green) and water temp sensor (blue).

I think that would explain another mystery then.

The headlight/dashboard bracket at the front appears, to me, to be fore a different fairing. Like one that would have a fuel level and water temp gauage. This bike does not have either. Only the low fuel light and temp warning light on the dashboard.

So it sounds like i can just remove this harness altogether.  :2thumbup:
