Just saw a guy said he had high perf cams for his 75. I didn't even think they made performance parts for the damn thing save for chipping it out, boring the head and bronze valve guides which I still don't know where to get.
-
Wonder if he's a previous owner of a bridge in NY too.

There's a legendary hot cam that supposedly came on the earliest K100s. It may or may not have existed. But I never heard of a hot cam for the 75.
-
1985 k100's (finest year K) had a hotter cam. Good for 5 hp i think. I guess you could grind you own if you have the skills. Only surefire performance boost I know of is a turbo.

Picture of '85 FYK exhaust lobe. Note the wider lobe top.
-
Intake '89 K100 lobe. Note pointy lobe. Don/t know exact duration at what degree of K75 or K100. May be a degree or two on grind between intake and exhaust. Maybe someone gots the spec. sheets. K75 don't have any pics or specs. Would be cool f someone had it written down. Hanes had some numbers, can't remember what they were and for what.

Luftmeister used to make high-performance cams for K75s and K100s. I have them in my K75 turbo and they do make the low end a little peppier.
Here's the catalog page for them:

Back in the day, a riding buddy went the whole Luftmeister route on his K100RS. Bike ran good until he spun a rod bearing at high rpm. Although these engines are over-built, I believe it is best to leave well enough alone with stock. If the bike isn't fast enough for you, maybe you need to go to a different bike.
The Luftmeister cams were stock pieces that were built up with weld and machined down. I didn't particularly like the quality of the finished parts.
Not possible with the K75, but I installed a used K1100 engine and Motronic into my '85 RS. Everything bolts up no problems. It is possible to install a K1200 brick into the K100 with a bellhousing change. The biggest problem to overcome is to adapt the K100 electrical system to run the Motronic system.

I bought a K1100RS with a 1200 motor. It used the K1100 Motronic. It was not noticeably faster than a stock K1100.
The Lufty cams in my K75 were installed at 20K and have lasted so far up to 125K.
I was talking to an expert cam dude about getting them cloned and he recommended grinding the profile down and using thicker skims instead of building them up since building them up is more complex and probably less reliable.
