Title: AGM battery deal at Autozone
Post by: F14CRAZY on July 31, 2016, 09:32:10 PM
I don't know if the Autozone Gold AGM batteries are well-reviewed but I picked one up yesterday. Their ETX16L is $88.99 but until 8/22/16 there's a $10 gift card rebate. Figured I'd let you guys know of the deal. It was in stock and Autozones are just about everywhere

two reviewers hated it and 2 Harley dudes loved it.  The 3 month warranty could be a warning.  Might be better going with a $30 lawn mower battery.

I can say that it's been good so far...I'll post back with longer term updates

The AGM format lead-acid batteries have more precise and stringent charging requirements than the typical flooded-cell variety.  i haven't investigated the kbike alternator/regulator to know if it suitable for AGM, but it would be worth looking into this in order to preserve your investment.  Some cars, e.g. mazda miata, came with AGM and have the proper charging system.  Thanks for the sale notice i might go get me one too...
