I forget exactly what these are called but they go on the sides of the tank where your knees go.

They're called fuel tank knee pads, oddly enough.

It didn't sound right.

:hehehe  Anyway, it must be out there somewhere, whatever it is.

I found knee pads on the IBMWR buy and sell forum a couple of years ago by visiting it regularly. Old-style Triumph pads may work.  ⅛' thick sheets (http://techspec-usa.com) are available to style on your own.

I have some for sale on my post. They were pulled from a 1989 K100LT. Check it out and see if they are what you're looking for.
