Title: Handlebar Inner Diameter?
Post by: nightwolf0215 on July 20, 2016, 01:51:26 AM
I am contemplating a K bike build that involves using bar end turn signal. I can't for the life of me find out the inner diameter of the handlebar. The outside diameter seems to be 22mm, but I have no idea what the inner would be. Does anyone know? I don't want to poke a hole through my grips yet as I am not sure about the build yet. :)

On my K75 i measured 21.86mm OD and 15.65mm ID at the bar end using dial calipers.

Don't know who sets the standards for bars but they are really closer to 7/8" OD and 5/8" ID than a pure metric size.

Emgo bar ends won't fit on the OEM bars.  You might have to go for original Hella barend signals.

How you could install Hellas. (http://www.benchmarkworks.com/articles/howto/signal.html)
Where you might find Hellas (http://www.benchmarkworks.com).

Thank you everyone! I didnt know about the Hella bar end signals, but I must look into it. They look really classy. The bar end signals I had in mind were the ones from motogadget, which is about twice as much. Wild price, but they should fit if the handlebar is pretty much standard. :)
