Hello troops.
So I've tried to look around but with no luck... can you use different injectors in the brick? And also o rings as they seem to be ridiculous money here in the UK.

Click on Home then go to the upper right search box and type "fuel injectors."

Thanks. New to the forum. Ta

wow, jumping right to swapping out the injectors for carbs are you? I want to see pictures of this!

No luck with what? There are injector options.
Carbs are a pretty big step backwards and more complicated to set up from scratch.

I am not after the bike for performance, I'm trying to build a bike that's very simple looking and tidy..... I think I may have found a problem with the injectors. I will need to post a picture for you chaps to examine for me as I'm clueless to these bikes :(

Here's an idea for you.sort the injectors out because they are far simpler than carbs and hide the ugly things behind one of these that I made.

Here's the other side on the machine...
-
Interesting indeed. Do you flog these or keep them to yourself ;)

No commercial aptitude!Very self proficient....I made cardboard ones first folded them and all.l then flattened that then cut out 3 mm ally from the template.
The folds (that follow the fairing)were tricky so I milled a line down the back for the second fold to damage the plate so that the second fold forces didn't unfold the first fold. The louvers were also fun to do.
Mine's the three cylinder and I just wanted to complete the aesthetics for my own mind's eye....Back then I was paranoid that some arse would mess with my injectors or generally sabotage the machine when parked out in wilds.I went bush a lot and left it unattended for long periods.
'Suprised you weren't interested in the tragkorbs. :dunno.I like to poke fun at conventional thinking.

Might be stupid but I want the experts to clarify for me (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/raggsyboy/Mobile%20Uploads/20160609_195423.jpg) (http://s301.photobucket.com/user/raggsyboy/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20160609_195423.jpg.html)

Clarify what?
-
As you can see they're all different but to me I have no idea. The clean injectors are the ones that were in the bike when I bought it. And which is the correct fuel rail... the tatty one was on the bike and the nice new one I found in a box
-
Clarify what each item belongs to because as you see the injectors are different
-
First picture, injectors from a 2V model.
Second -------------"---------- 4V --"---.
Third --"-- fuel rail ---------"----------.
Fourth ------------"----------- 2V --"---.
-
Tim Tyler is running 4 hole injectors with I believe success, I think they are off a BMW 318I, you can also run one Ford model injectors . Look in Motobrick Technical Library under Alternate Parts.
Regards Martin.
-
Sooooo. Not to sound daft but none of those injectors are meant to go on this bike then??? I only know that my 100lt is an 8v.
-
Lewis you can use any of the alternate injectors listed in the alternate parts. There are also other ones being used, just search the net.
Regards Martin.
-
100lt is an 8v.
So ... 2v per cylinder
-
Not to sound daft . . .
You don't sound daft. You sound like you are way out of your depth here and need to read up on your engine before you go further.
-
Okay. It's just because I rang up a specialist in the south and they said you couldn't use the 16v injectors etc...
Bocutter ed..... my maths isn't that bad ;) . a spades a spade in my eyes so I have an 8v. When people start throwing other names out it starts throwing me off scent.
I'm also assuming that I can't use that other fuel rail either?
-
Lewis that is correct you cannot use the 16v fuel rail.
Regards Martin.
