Title: Where does this go ?

Hello Folks,

can anyone help me please with where this part fits on my K1100RS ?

It fell out when I was replacing the air filter and I can't work out where from.

I have found it on the parts fiches and the number is 13722307556 but the diagrams don't show where it goes, just that it is a heat shield.

Stumbled upon your question while looking for the answer to the same question.

Found the fitting after brainstorming a bit.

This screening fits on the lower right of the fairing under the mounting bracket. Nice and snug against the 2nd bolt on the crankcase cover.

When in doubt about what a part is for or where it goes, it can often be helpful to consult the part fiches exploded views.  They usually have enough detail to identify the part you have in your hand and figure out how it goes together.
