Post by: BAMBAM1039 on May 20, 2016, 03:43:31 PM
Im hoping someone can answer these questions  On my 1990 k1 there are 3 switches on left side of tank in fairing One says ABS one is a  triangle that looks like the red triangle  on center of gauges and one is blank? Also what does lighted triangle on center of gauges do or stand for   Thanks ahead of time for any helpful info

greetings bambam...

the abs button is for resetting your abs...

the red triangle is 4 way flashers...

the blank is heated grips... supercharger... or nothing...

the red triangle is the bulb monitoring unit...

now go use the search box to see what the bmu does... dozens of posts here about it...

if you want to post about anything elrctrical or  mechanical or technical... you must first use the search button to acquire information (http://www.motobrick.com/index.php?action=search)... your post must demonstrate that you used the search button...

if you want to know what parts fits your moto...

1st... getts the last 7 digits of your vin and put in here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select) to see what your moto really is...

2nd... then pick your moto here (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/PartsFiche.aspx)...

3rd... after you figger out the exact part number put it in here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select) to see what all motos it fits...

4th... then put your questions in here (http://www.motobrick.com/index.php?action=search) and  search it...

5th... make your post... include the part numbers you looked up... include screen prints to demonstrate you doing the minimum...

when you do the minimum your post will stand on its merits... if you choose to not do the minimum your post will be locked and pinned up on the wall of shame...

I soon learnt to push both indicator(flasher)paddle switches together to get all four going.Very usefull,as a silent horn!
Yeh,you probably knew that.Oh well.
