Have seen two different sizes of fuel pumps for K1100LTs ... 43 and 52mm
Mine is 1993
Can anyone advise on correct size?
Obviously the pumps are available from motobins et.al but size is not indicated
I know there is the mounting hole but was not sure whether this is an accurate guide. Need fuel pump, strainer and mounting bracket. And fuel sender if mine is kaput. And... plenty more
There are some pumps available from Czech republic. Can anyone review these?
Otherwise, I buy the mounting bracket and then a car pump locally (approx $50 and up)
Thanks
Guy

The stock size for the 1100's was the 43mm. The size change was 01/93.
The larger one had a different style pickup screen on the bottom, and that was for the older 100's and 75's.

As the change was during the production year for the -93 model year you can have either one of them,
depending on if your model is made early or late in the production year.
Easy check, open the cap and look at the pump....early 52mm pump have the output spigot in the centre
and the terminals 180o apart.......the later 43mm pump have the output spigot off centre and
the terminals beside each other.

Amusingly
I have the 93 K1100 (change over year)
And the fuel pump is missing - just an empty hole.
Will bend the knees and look closely at the VIN
thanks

The early tanks have a plain bottom, later tanks have reinforcing ribs across the bottom which is pressed
into the sheet metal.

thanks for the replies
given Scott's response, mine is a 1/93
so 43mm it is and mounting bracket. Rubber is best I assume
Am hoping to soak my fuel level sender in vinegar if deoxit doesn't work as per an servicing earlier post.
then it's hoses, battery holder and battery, oil and fuel before a speculative attempt at starting - all probably away.
But first then K100 resurrection
