Does anyone know if the engine protection bars will work on an 89 k100rs with belly pan?

there are more than one part number for a set of engine protection bars... whats your part number...
getts the last 7 digits of your vin and put in here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select) to see what your moto really is...
then pick your moto here (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/PartsFiche.aspx)...
figger out the exact part number and put it in here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select) to see what all motos it fits...

I am pretty sure the belly pan covers up the lower mounting points for the "protection" bars. You can do the belly pan or the bars, but not both.

I've done that JO. It says you can get the bars and the belly pan, Just not if you can get them together :dunno

Why can't you get out the Dremel to the belly pan? Had dremels even made it to Germany in the eighties? Getcha a pan and cut some Damn holes....duh!

Destroying the bodywork to protect the bodywork??? :dunno It might come to that, but first it would be nice to know if they are mutually exclusive unmodified. BTW the belly pan does serve a couple of functions...being a pain in the ass to change the oil and making it impossible to check the oil in low light :hehehe :hehehe
