Title: Rebuilt my rear calipers!
Post by: nsarvai on April 28, 2016, 07:43:21 PM
Alright guys,
I just rebuilt my rear calipers on my K75, due to the squeaking from being sticky. I have been riding it around and seems to be working fine, until I go to park it tonight and started squeaking when I roll it on to the center stand. Spun the tire around to find it squeaking little bit again. I have don't a couple things, like lightly sanding it, and putting some spray on it but nothing seams to be a permit fix. The roughers look ok and still have life to them. Do anyone know what could be happening and could help me out?
Thanks  :k75x

1) insert ear plugs...

2) dont spin tiors...

3) ignore all noise...

4) ride...

Oh I am doing that, but I don't want to cause any bigger damage! Was wondering if all is going to be good.

might be normal, some pads just like to squeak.  If caliper not heating up and they work you're ok.  Try stomping on them a couple times at speed, or some antisqueek grease on the back of the pads.

When you put the pads in, did you put a little lube on the contact points of the pins and the retainer spring?

Put a very light coat of copper grease on the back and edge of the pad.
