I have a spare shim from a 1990 K75s. I don't know if it's the same part number - but if you decide you want it, send me a PM.

greetings j2000...

on november 17 2007 i had a guy in long beach ca look at the bugeye motobrick because it had a front wobble on new avon tiors...

avon had a problem back then... i called them out on it and gotts a new set free of charge... butts i had to pay for the swap labour... after all that i still had the wobble on both new set of avons...

this guy is the k moto genius... he was from germany and was on the original k bike development team... this guy knows everything... he discovered that when the rear was cold it was good to go... butts after it got hot the sidewalls would squat and the edge of the tior would rub the swing arm...

even with 3 spacers it would rubb when hot 2up...

ended up scrapping the avons all together... and all has been well since on many tior brands and sizes...

later on down the road i was getting whack left side wear... so in attempt to change things up i ran between 1 and 4 spacers over a few sets of tiors to see how it changed tior wear and handling... this is when we were rolling approx 20 thou a year... 4 sets of tiors a year...

anyway... no change in tior wear or handeling...

so... im thinking you are good to go with 2 or 3 of these spacers... as long as your tior isnt getting hot and squatting against the swing arm...

if you caints getts no action here at the mb.com... a & m (http://stores.ebay.com/aandmcycletraders/_i.html?_nkw=bmw+k&submit=Search&LH_TitleDesc=1&_sid=446081355) gotts them...

Keep in mind that there are 1mm and 2mm spacers.

On my bike I have 4mm (2+1+1) to keep the hot Shinko 712 from rubbing the swingarm.

Thanks all, that's why I love this forum, yes you're right I need to consider also when the tire is getting hot. I bought this tire because it's cheap and usually avon tire has a better grip than others. I believe I need at least 5mm shim, unfortunately I don't have access to tools to make this shim, so just rely on the standard one, and through the dealership it's expensive.
