I'm a newbie to the "K". I've got logged about 5,000 miles to date on my '85 K100RS. Been working on her for about a year now. Kids are grown and off on their own and the wife...well she is off doing her thing...which is a good thing. ::) I'm feeling soooo good at the moment and I need to tell someone about it . ...so your it. I got up this morning and hopped on the Brick and took off about 7:00AM., (I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA). I headed to coast (Hywy 1) and road a big loop back to my place. The Pacific is beautiful today. The weather is blue sky, about 75 degree and 5mph winds. Perfect for riding. I'm seeing every kind of bike out there today, allot of Harleys...my baby (the K 100RS) ran perfect, it practically was "humming" it was running so good. Got to ride almost every kind of road this morning and was groovin how the "K" was taken on the corners...my "K" I think was sort of talkin to me... anyway, that's it, and I'm home and feeling pretty good about doing the "honey dooooo list" around the house. That "K" bike sure made me feel happy this morning! ;D

Nice!!!! Simple pleasures, etc., etc.

And another discovers the simple intoxication, soon to be followed by the addiction. Congrats and enjoy!

Did you go north or south?
(Hint: The correct answer is north.)
-
Yup! I rode the ridge of Santa Cruz Mtns., at Alices turned down to Pescadero, CA, and turned north on Hwy 1, 17 miles to Half Moon Bay and then back to the East Bay Region turning up to Berkeley, CA and through the Caldecot tunnel. I took the backroads at the cities in Orinda/Moraga and these roads in the foothills are great riding too. Meandered back on these roads which dump almost back in my backyard. Made a big loop. :) The "K" ran like a champ! I could feel the power and response of this bike .... nice ...

I have just had some surgery on my left arm and it is in a cast so each morning my wife opens the curtains in the bedroom and says "nice day for a ride dear", my reply "don't rub it in".
Now I am double pissed at it as we have some of the best riding weather and I am stuck here without being able to ride.
Mumble Mumble Mumble. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
