Howdy from Massachusetts....
I got the bike last May from a friend for 1500$ with 120,000 miles on it. My sport bike friends said I was crazy. I didn't need that negativity in my life and made new friends.

This was also my first bike, the size and weight were my biggest obstacles. After about 500 jaunts around the neighborhood I worked up the sack to go out on the main road. Best decision ever.

Like a true tinkerer and a case a bear I decided to throw on the set of handle bars that came with it.

Doesn't look too shabby for someone that has no ide wtf they're doing. So I drove that around for a few months and browsed a lot of forums, I decided to go through with the full conversion.

It started with swapping the bars to clip ons and anyone who has ever attempted to find after market parts that fit this bike specifically y'all know it's a pain in the ass. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the installation due to fighting and cursing while getting the forks to slide of the triple trees. Instead here is the typical "I can take shit apart and almost out it back together" photo.

The biggest victory was when my seat pan came in and it fit almost perfectly. I just need to chop the frame and it'll be the bees knees.

So after a few hours of trial and error, I got seat mounted and at a better angle. Along with aligning the head light with the take a bit better.

Just an opinion, save the original parts whenever, hang'm on the wall or store in box, eBay a set of later shorter covers with the neat brace. Costs a couple bucks from a breaker, if you ever pass the bike on it can all be put back to a slab cruncher. The time and effort cutting up good parts ain't worth throwing cut parts in the dumpster down the line. Two cents FWIW.
Should mention, looks like yer bike has the early fork tubes, the shorty later fender won't work, no place to bolt it up. Oh well, I tried.
