Title: mirrors

I need to replace my 89 k100rs  mirror lens...not the entire mirror. Will another lens out of a 87 k100lt fit? Can the mirror lens be purchased from BMW? Thanks for any help. Kenray in Katy Tx.

No, they are not interchangeable.  Yes they are still available.

Thanks for the reply. I took the mirror out and went to a glass shop here in Katy. They cut me a new mirror for $10.00. I put it back in and I'm good to go. Looks like new. Kenray Katy Tx.

Make very sure that you got that cockamamie wire dohickey hooked up properly on the stud on the back of the mirror.

I had a new piece of convex glass cut for mine(didn't get as good a deal as you did, cost me $18), and two days later had the damn thing fall out at 11o'clock at night while I was doing 70+.  Needless to say, there was absolutely no hope of finding it.
