I just bought a low mileage ( 15,000 ) 1991 K1 that has been in storage for 6 years.
The owner says that it pops and farts but wont start.
It is probably a fuel issue, injectors, filters, plugs, mice in the air filter etc.
Any other thoughts?
I have not taken delivery of the bike yet. It is on the transporters truck.

Carefully check the plug wire connections. They could be out of order.
How is the fuel delivery? Old fuel? Six years worth of gum in the injectors? Dirty electrical connectors on the Motronic? How do the plugs look? Are they wet?
Hope you are going to post photos.

Have you read all the thoughts here yet, Don?

If nothing else works, the problem could be from bad ju-ju. If so, take it to a santero.

Thanks for the link.
Let me get the bike in my hands and I will systematically start with those links.
