Bought a C-Tek 5.0 for my last bike and a new Motobatt battery.
Installed C-Tek properly to top of battery (as per previous bike - where it worked properly)
When charging, the C-Tek LED meter wont go past 2 (out of 8). Friend of mine with 2001 Ducati Super Sport reports the same issue.
Pulled battery from bike and charged it on the bench. Same issue. Use 'Recondition' setting on C-Tek and it progressed to full charge.
Since then a full repeat of all issues - even when taken from bike and onto bench.
Battery continues to start the bike without concern.
Q: correct installation? Does it need an isolating switch?
Q: What is the issue?
Thanks for any replies

Guy go on the internet and type in C-Tek 5.0 Problems or Issues and it will give you a couple of trouble shooting guides.
