So, I got my magnecor wire set today 8.5mm, and the #1 wire is 3/4 inch short. Yes... :bmwsmile I have the right wire because #1 wire is the longest. Any thoughts? I am matching it to my factory BMW set...
-
Get back onto your supplier and send him a picture of the wires side by side, explain that one wire is to short as per the picture. Quote the lengths of the new and old wires. If he is reputable he will fix the problem, it could be a genuine mistake.

Yes Martin, I called Magnecor. He said send it back and he would replace it. I am going to send him my original BMW set. Perhaps his spec is wrong or someone made a mistake. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue with a Magnecor 8.5mm set.

My K75 set from Magnecor fits.
-
on my 4cyl K motor my #2 plug was the longest.
-
I will check it out tomorrow Scott...to late tonight. I very carefully removed and marked the wires (I think :dunno2:). My bike still had the factory wire set, so I will recheck the lengths tomorrow. BTW the motor was running fine

Here's a pic of mine with the stock set. Notice how #2 and #4 loop around the plugs #1 and #3 respectively.

So I checked and re-chechecked. On my bike, the factory set, has #1,2,&3 as straight shots, with 4 as a loop. The #1 Magnecor is still the longest and too short...
-
So it looks like they sent the wrong set, at least you know your not going mad.

Oh, I'm quite mad  not necessarily the wire set though :bmwsmile
