Hi Everyone,
Sorry to create another tire post, but looking for some help/confirmation before I place my order. I've got a 94' K75rt with the snowflake wheels and despite spending a few hours searching online last night I can't seem to find an option for a radial rear (avon azarro not available anymore at least here in Canada from what I can tell). Just wondering, has anyone figured out any other option for radials? Failing that, I guess I will be going with either the Bridgestone BT45's or Pirelli Sport Demons. Looking for performance over longevity. Just a quick question on these: The tire specs for my bike call for Front: 100/90 - 18, and I can only get them in 110/90 - 18. I can't imagine that 10mm will cause any problems but just wanted to know if anyone else is running this size and can confirm it's okay? It looks like some others have run radials in: Front 110/80 - 18 and Rear 140/80 - 17. Anyone run these sizes in the BT45's or Pirelli's? Thanks in advance for any help - much appreciated :bmwsmile

Thx F14CRAZY - I'll definitely check those out. Read through the thread your started on them and seems like most people like them. The price is nice too especially when compared to the Pirelli's :yes If anyone else has any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear there thoughts/experiences, otherwise I think I'll give these Shinko's a try

I personally have not run a front 230 Tour Master. I believe the 712 is intended to be more suited for sporty riding but I haven't been able to get my rear Tour Master to slip and haven't felt any in-confidence from it (is that a word?).

They're really good tires that happen to be cheap rather than cheap tires that happen to be really good.

Have tried the following tyres Michelin Macadams 2 sets hated them, only tried the second set because when I bought the bike first set 3/4 worn. I ended up changing them early due to unpredictable handling. Avon Venoms 2 sets Ok last set started to crack in the tread grooves. Bridgestone BT45s 2 sets OK last set only lasted 10,000 kilometres. Now running Michelin Pilot Activs really grippy have only done 1000 Ks on them really happy with the handling, but $200 fitted for rear in OZ . I am really intrigued by the Shinko write ups and will probably try them next due to their price, and the positive write ups.

I've wanted to try the Pilot Activ as well but the local powersports dealer wants over $150 for the tire alone. That's not far off from the cost of three 712's. I like experimenting but I don't see the Michelin lasting three times as long
