That's a clean one.

There are still enough naked or close to naked K's out there, or K's with fairings that are beat to hell and weathered, to make into "cafe racers." It does hurt to see nice ones being stripped

Right on, billday! Whoever buys that should install a tank bag and a tailbox to make it into a cafeteria. :lets-eat:

+1 on avoiding the cafe route.  This one is minty fresh.

Actually the bike is not that clean.  If you look at the photo with the engine, you can see a ton of rust everywhere.  $4K is a lot of money for this particular bike.

Regardless, this bike should not be molested into a cafe.  I could never understand what the fascination with the gen one bricks for cafe builders.   :dunno2:

Usually the K75S models are spared the butchering.  It seems to be the most common victim are the K75RTs...

Yes it's overpriced. And wherever it's been sitting all these years hasn't been kind to it. But wow what a beautiful motorcycle.

Most "cafe" K's are just stripped of bodywork and maybe a funny seat.  Calling it "cafe" is cooler than saying "I trashed it but it still runs good" :riding:

Many of the K bikes I have come across have been really ratty, and even non running, crashed, or just neglected. For someone to take it as a base to build a "modified" K is no insult to restoration. Most folks work with what they've got, be it bike, skill, or money, and the commonality is an appreciation of motorcycles in general and K bikes particularly. I definitely believe a good condition bike should not be stripped, and is worth more than one highly modified.

Man, I think that's a chunk of dough. Are K bikes appreciating in value?? Mine was $1,400 (Canadian). Ok, so I spent money replacing bits and pieces...same stuff you'd have to replace on any aging brick. I must be outta touch....I think you can find way better buys out there. Mine is an RT. I was going to take her naked (certainly not cafe although I think they look pretty cool) but I've gotten used to that fabulous fairing and the general, somewhat dated, look of her. I rode today and will continue to ride until the snow flies....who knows how long that will be in southern Ontario??!

Happy hunting!
