Title: 3D printed replacement parts
Post by: Vespa no more on December 08, 2015, 06:11:02 PM
Has anyone had any success using 3D printers to create replacement parts?

My K100RT 1984 has a cracked and chipped black dashboard. It is relatively thin and poorly made (not very strong and prone to damage).

I am wondering if it can be duplicated with a 3D printer (there is one at the school I work at) - or is this going too far? Perhaps the shape of the piece is problematic (thin and curvey).

Perhaps someone (preferably in Australia) has one to sell.

Any thoughts anyone?

Depends on the size. And depends on the size of the printer. My friend has one that can print things up to maybe 12 in x 6 in
