Early K100s had a switch mounted behind throttle body with vacuum connection around to a take off on number one TB. So, I'm tearing along into my RS and I find the two wires to this switch snipped, hanging there uncovered.
Question, what's this switch for? Motor ran since last year with the switch unconnected. Schematic shows it wired to both computers. Bike was maintained by PO at reputable dealer. Was this commonly done? That is, cut the wires? Can't find any info on what the switch is for. Thanx if anyone has a clue.

Thanx, done. Wires taped off. Love my brick. Working on lowering seat and going through fuel delivery system this winter.

Glad to hear it 9807.
I was researching the same question and didn’t want to leave a dead ended thread. [emoji4][emoji106]
