Title: Removing turn signals from a RT fairing
Post by: K75RT Keith on November 09, 2015, 06:08:03 PM
How do the signal lenses co out?  I've got the fairing off and the retaining screw removed. Looking at it, it appears that they have 2 press fit slots that Make it appear that they slide straight back. I've tried working around the back oh the assembly to loosen the unit but nothing is budging.

Where can I find the how to remove?  Or, is there someone on the board who can explain it to me

I may not be able to describe this well, but they are held in with the one screw.  Mine came out without any drama, but they kinda swing out at the screw side.  Those two slots on the opposite side should come apart without much effort, but it sounds like that's not your experience.  You could try pushing in from the outside at the screw edge.  You could also try lubing the slots/pivots with some dish soap.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Finally got them out late last night. The gaskets had stuck tu the fairing. A putty knife and patience did the job. Just need to get new gaskets.
