Ride report:
http://www.debmail.net/joe (http://www.debmail.net/joe)
Proof:
Two weeks after return from the trip, maybe 100 addl. miles since, bike develops coolant leakage problem (discovered today on my ride to work: hey, what's that cloud of steam that seems to be enveloping only myself....). It could have happened while I was off in the middle of absolutely nowhere but waited until I was 8 miles from the comfort and safety of my garage!
While I'm not thrilled about having to tear down the bike enough to see if/where I have a hole in my radiator and fix same, still, hard to complain!
Enjoy!

Great ride! Your photos are excellent and I am amazed at how much snow is still present.
You don't need a ton of stuff, but a few extras for tire repairs, fuses, filters, relays, bulbs, etc., take up almost no room and will get you back on your way for most situations that are shy of needing a full shop.
Cheers
