Title: Radiator Hose Routing
Post by: klhoskins on October 23, 2015, 11:30:14 AM
OK, this one is going to sound like a dumb question but it's something that is bugging me.

On my K75 RT the lower radiator hose doesn't route through the hole in the crank cover. However, I've seen other 'K' bikes out there where it does. It appears as if the radiator mounts further forward on the RT and I'm guessing it has to do with the fairings that used to be on the bike.

So my question is, on my café conversion is it just a matter of replacing the hose with something that can route through the crank cover or could I use a lower radiator bracket off another K bike to bring the hose mount backwards???

RT's have a larger radiator than the other models.

In some ways the externally mounted coolant hose is a blessing. Ask anyone who has replaced a hose through the hole in the engine cover.

I was just thinking it would be a cleaner look on the naked bike.
