:mm Trying to spruce up my '95 K75, std. I'm the second owner since about 2001 and the bike came with a Corbin low seat and of course no side panels. I'd like to add panels which means the Corbin has got to go. But as I am uninformed can someone tell me what seat options I must have? My Clymer indicates that my options are limited as my tool box is not empty but has electronics inside.? :dunno Bike is being repainted so color of panels doesn't matter.

best bet is to offer a trade with someone who wants a low seat. http://marketplace.ibmwr.org/ gets pretty good traffic.

You might want to check a parts source like realOEM or MaxBMW. I believe they changed something about the seat mounting on the last few years of the K75. I have a Corbin on my K75S with the side panels that go with the fairing. Mounts the same as the stock seat. I keep tools in the tray over the battery since there isn't much room in the rear with the anti-lock computer. Plus I'd rather have the weight in the center of the bike. Body parts show up on ebay regularly. Good luck.

There is a fair bit of hardware difference to mount a normal seat versus a low seat. It call be found on the parts fiche on line. PM me if you need help

I have a good shape k100 seat I'm not using. It's OEM.

Welcome trebor ... re your question of the emptiness of the tool tray (I just went through the transition from std to low seat on my K75s) - the std or "high" seat config (aka dual bench I believe) has both side panels and space for a tool-tray as part of the "brain box" ... wheras the low seat alternative (approx. 2'' lower) dispenses with the side panels (in lieu of a spacer at the rear of the tank)and has no tool tray above the brain box.
So your first question is to the seat height - if you want to re-install side panels then bear in mind that the std seat will be significantly higher than what you currently have ... personally I found this a little too high for my in-seam and prefer the low seat option - hence the change (although I do miss the tool tray!)
Hope this helps.
