Title: Acewell 2803.. almost working perfect =/
Post by: ChristSFP on September 13, 2015, 03:29:34 PM
So I did the forum search and found some magic help along the way, the K1100rs has some other colors than the K100 but I figured it out.. I think...

The only issue I have now.. and It is quite big.. Everything works, but only when I pull the clutch?? Any takers on my issue?

RPM work flawless, both turnsignals.. headlight.. etc.. Itīs all good =) But Without the clutch pulled, the dash just goes dark and back to "clock mode" where only time is showed.

Cheers

I'll Guess you have mixed the green/black and the black/green wires...........
The black/green Connects the clutch switch/GPI/starter switch together.
The green/black is the power feed to the instrument (and other this and that).

Thanks for your reply, seems highly likly since I don't have green/black only black/green and two green.. :/ I took a chance and I guess they should be switched.

Will try first thing tomorrow.

From your description in the first post, you have mixed the two wires in contact 5 & 6 in the first pic.
The green wire was green/black on the earlier two valve models, so I did mix up things a bit too.

In your 1st picture, Terminal #5 will be the starter interlock output, #6(green) will be the +12v into the cluster, the other green in the 2nd picture terminal #16 is return from the motronic for the tachometer.
