I said old, and I am.. Will be 80 in October. Got my first bike, a 1948 Harley 45 in 1950, and have had some kind of bike ever since.  Got my first BMW, a R50 in 1960 and have had just about every model at one time or another. My old standby is my 1983 R100RT which now has about 60,000 miles.  I just last week, bought a 1990 K75LT showing 16,800 miles.  I really didn't want it, and certainly didn't need it, but the price was just too low to resist.  I'll likely sell both soon, as I have only put 85 miles on the RT this year, and summer is about over.  I know, that it is time for me to "hang it up" but just can't give in just yet. I've been all over the US; Most of Mexico; and a good part of Canada on two wheel's; with only one mishap which landed me in a hospital in Paige AZ very near the Grand Canyon. I was on a RT100; pulling a trailer  Did not make it to the canyon that trip, but did a few years later..
You might see me somewhere/sometime.

Welcome and I enjoyed your intro.  I am right behind you in age and will be 80 in May of 16.  I have four bikes.  I did not ride since 1952, once I got my car license.  I have bought 20 bikes and sold 16 of them since 2008, however.  I recently scored on a close-to-showroom 1995 BMW Standard K75 with 27K miles and it is sooooo nice.  I have no plans to quit riding..One of my bikes is a little Honda Rebel 250 cruiser and it is light enough that I should be able to handle if for many more years if my health holds up.  I wish you the best.

Horsefeathers on giving it up!! Just ride something smaller and more manageable or something with 3 wheels.
