Title: Honda SS-8 Fork Juice Is the Schiznit : )
Post by: mejetski2000 on September 07, 2015, 03:35:47 PM
Title kind of says it all BUT I'll rave for a second then shut up. My 27K miles forks were making a king of groan/squeak noise so I bought said Honda Juice at local dealer for whopping $6.95/ container. I drained the old Bel-Ray out (was almost black) and flushed the tubes with 2 syringe full of Seafoam Auto transmission additive to get any residual moisture out. Nasty stuff came out. Put 280cc of SS-8 in each leg and HOLY CRAP !! Not only are the noises gone but my nose-diving under braking has all but disappeared. I have 20 year old Progressive sprins that I was thinking maybe need replacing, nope, all good to go. All stiction gone, noises gone and perfect dampening.
