Title: Trip Gauge resetting itself.
Post by: herseyb on August 19, 2015, 04:05:25 PM
Hello,

I recently noticed that my trip guage is resetting itself.  I'll look down and it'll be spinning like I was dialing the reset knob around.

It doesn't seem like it is affecting the odometer, however.  It's not the biggest deal since my fuel lights turn on, but I like to know how far I've gone since the last fill up.

Anyone else experience this?  Any tips?

Thanks!
Ben

Have not seen that one, usually they just stop turning.  Possibly the teeth fell off a gear and jammed the 1/10th dial causing them all to spin together.  These units are known for the gears in the odometers dissolving.  Somewhere there is a link to replacement gears but they are pricey.
