So this may not be the right place to post :bmwsmile, but I am new here. Here is my question. I found a multivario bag w/a base stamped R65/80. Similar vintage to my 89 K. Re psycle bmw sells base units (multivario) NOS for my K. Would the bag from the R80 work with the base stamped for K100? Both units are too far away to visually inspect. Thanks, Jack

Check the microfiche found on a dealer site like MAX BMW or BOBS BMW and find the tank bag part number(s) as there maybe multiple bags. Then check the numbers through reloem.com for cross reference campatibility. About the only way to tell.
BTW Last bag I saw on ebay for a K went for under $100.00. Might want to ask about condition and ask for plenty of pics to confirm the bag is in very good shape for the asking price.

I sold mine because it was a terrible bag, hard to get into, hard to fill the tank, too big, etc. If you want one make sure it is in very good condition with excellent zippers.

I think there are two different zipper sizes for the bag to base. You need them to be the same on both parts to work properly.
