Title: Brake lever splitting
Post by: Kiwikees on August 01, 2015, 06:22:44 PM
Hey just wondered if anyone else has experienced having a foot brake pedal split. I have a 1991 K1 and the aluminium foot brake lever looks as though it is delaminating longitudinally. I'll go get a new one but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if it is an environment or material problem. I would guess it is still original.
Cheers

Aha. Dunno how you keep up, I struggle with just the one forum. Thanks The owner before me lived on a boat, explains the salt phenomenon. I better go have a look at the other ally bits. Gear lever's steel, non-original, as it doesn't quite fit. Another job for another day.
