What's good PARTY people?  I've been looking to get a K100 or K75 for years and one just popped up the other day for pennies so I got it and got started on it.  She's a '91 K100LT 233,xxx kms on her.  Seems to run nicely so I have done full service on her and stripped her down to tidy her back up.  Goal is to make a nice looking simple bike that I can do some long distance surf trips on.  Last add will be a surf rack.  It's been 1 week since I got the bike and not too much left for the first phase of this build (phase 1 being to get her into mechanically sound and aesthetically pleasing condition).

Removed the ABS including computer and hardlines.  Got a new front braided line from Pirtek and reused the rear em line.

Found a seat I liked.  Plan is to have a 2 person seat and also make a solo seat/rear tail that can be used interchangeably.

Got leather grips from Papillionaire Bike Shop but the throttle side is too small so we shall see if I will use them or not.  I also got a set of Biltwell Kung Fu Grips from MCAS that I originally wanted and used on my last bike.

Currently trying to wire the tail light then will chop the tail and mount the seat properly then time to ride.  Only real hang up I've had so far is I can't get the brake light to work...I'm looking into it.  hopefully it's just the fumes and fatigue making me a fail and I don't have to fool around with too much wiring.

So one week of work on it after work days in the apartment garage and I'm hoping to resolve the light tomorrow then bring it to my friends workshop Saturday to use his welder.  Just going to shorten the tail and clean things up.

Nice work in a week. Mind me asking where you got the seat. Seem to fit very well.

Thanks for the reply. What do you think of the quality of the seat? Is it ok? Next time your posting pics include a few close ups of the fitting. Seems bang on.

I'll get some pics up shortly!  As far as quality, it's definitely a good deal for $100 although I won't know about its durability until next year ;P  It fits right on the rear frame and the frame rails come out past the seat about 1/2 inch so it does fit on there nicely.  Still have to shorten the rear then I'll mount it properly and get some photos.
