Hello, I was out for a short (10 mile) ride the other day about dusk, on the 88 K75S.
After leaving a red light I noticed a little hesitation, but then ran ok. About 3 miles later it started sputtering when climbing a hill then died. I remembered I was a lil low on gas. I pushed it about 1/4 mile to get gas. Put gas in but still no start. So I pushed it 2.7 miles back home (about 90-95 degrees out). Im still alive. I pulled the fuel filter and black stuff came out. This tells me I needs a new fuel pump. I tested the pump and no mechanical noise. Replaced it with one of those aftermarket ones. Still no start. Any ideas on where I should look next?

greetings larmol7
id replace the fuel filter too...
could be ignition switch... kill switch... starter button... under tank fuel pump connector... jetronic connector...
needs to confirm fuel air spark first and move on from there...

Now that I've replaced the fuel pump and starter, the fuel pump fuse blows every time I try to start the 88 k75s. So the temperature denser and fuel pump are bith on this fuse. Any ideas?
Thanks. Larry

Previous post stated I replaced the starter. That is incorrect
I actually replaced the fuel pump and filter. And, when I push the start button, the engine turns but fouls the fuse
