Hi,
I have an 85 K100RT that I bought a year and a half ago. I really like it, but because of it's age, I'm looking for the next one. So what I want is, a little more power (but not essential), lighter, more economical, one that will let me get the soles of my feet on the floor when I'm sitting on it and one that won't roast my shins on a hot day. Which model fits that description?

later K100's and 1100's still ran hot, there are ways to manage it. Still sit high. K75's run cooler and available low seat but less HP. If you like your K100 I bet you'd love a K1100.

There's a like new F800 for sale here

None of those bikes are getting any lighter. I was hoping whatever replaced the K100 would be better on all counts.

Google says an F800GT wet weighs 470 lbs. My K75C with fairing and cases is 608

I read that the K100 with full tank was 526 lb, but if you've measured it... at the same time I read that there was a low seat model, I never heard of that before. The F800GT looks interesting, but a twin with belt drive ? :yow Won't I have to change gear on roundabouts? :riding:

Someone wants to sell me their R1100RT but I've never seen one apart from a photo
I couldn't believe it when I read that this was the successor to the old boxer R100RT. And, I'd completely forgotten that I had an R45 back in the early 80's
