My new to me 1990 k75's headlamp is all foggy looking and I am getting very poor illumination.
At first I thought it was moisture, but warming it up with a hair dryer didn't work and neither did dabbing it with a napkin on a chopstick.
Well, I can see small rub marks in the filmy layer.
Next I tried rubbing alcohol and then acetone. Cleared up great when wet, but then back cloudy when dry.
I have the round kind of headlight and removing the clips didn't free the lens. Is the gasket sealed at the factory or is it removable?
Any tips to get a clear lens?

Mine seems stuck pretty good but I'll give it another go. Maybe warming will help loosen the gasket.

Got the lens cover off, couldn't wait for the good polish to show up so I went to town with toothpaste and barkeep's friend.
Immediate improvement. It actually throws light now!
I can't wait to see what it's like when I actually polish it clear.
Thanks johnny.
