I'm trying to debug my unusual front tire tread wear.
I'm changing tires today. My front fender and brakes are removed.
When I support the K75 with the front wheel off the ground and grab the tire at the top and bottom I can rock the wheel a tiny, tiny bit to the left and right. It's just enough to feel but not measurable. Is this normal?
After removing the tire the wheel bearings feel fine to my touch.

I center stand'd my '93, stuck a pair of 4x4's and a 2x4 under the water pump to hold the front wheel up. I could detect no play in the wheel, it was pretty tight in all directions excepting spin. No slop around axle or shift side-to-side. FTR, I have a set of new front wheel bearings in my tool rack that I've been planning to install when stopped riding so much. Mine are the originals AFAIK, and have nearly 40K on em.
Hope this helps.

no slop at all on the burd motobrick and the brick of the corn... measurable or otherwise...
could be psychological on your end...
all of my front tiors on every motobrick i have owned would wear the front exactly like that... and the most i ever got out of a front was 8 thou...
12 thou on that front... im thinking all is well...

Thank you, gentlemen.
The bearings are just a few years old. I've had four front tires on this bike and this one is the first to wear this way.
One year ago, just one day before this front tire was mounted, a parking car backed into my unattended bike. The car's speed when it's rear bumper connected with my front tire was enough to lift the car's rear end up a little and slide my bike backwards on the sidestand an inch. The bike remained upright. I've since ridden the bike 10k miles without noticing any problem besides the tire wear. I wonder if the impact stress was absorbed mostly by the wheel bearing.

no play in wheel bearings . sounds like one or both bearings failed ,could be loose and not rough feeling.bearings were positioned in wheel at same depth as original? no change in how many spacers needed to maintain air gap on front speed sensor?
