Title: tracking - look ma no hands
Post by: subforry on June 16, 2015, 12:21:02 PM
Hi all,

When I am riding on an arrow straight road with the very slight crown and set the cruise control, my K1100 will drift to the left if I take my hands off the bars.  Is this typical, caused by the crown, or is there an alignment I should check?

Thanks

Here in the US, mine drifts slightly to the right. I can keep it straight by repositioning my body.

I've tried aligning my forks, replacing wheel bearings, steering bearings and fresh tires.

My 16v K100RS does the same,drift/pull to left is only slight but noticeable.Originally thought it might be tires but just the same with new set.

The bikes are not balanced with the crank and swingarm on the right side.  And on some K's the rear wheel is offset a couple mm.  Nothing to worry about.

I can't decide if this was a conscious or unconscious zinger.    :giggles
