Getting the battery charged on the K75 and then removed to see if I could find a replacement was next to as difficult as a frame-off restoration of an old car...Sooooo complicated....could not find a new one but found the existing Yausa brand battery was half empty on fluid so added distilled water and Autozone threw a quick charge on it and said it was good so I shoehorned it back into the bike in 90 minutes and 700 cuss words later....Geeminy what a project. Took a good ride, first one in three weeks on the flying brick..
Just wanting to vent.

id rather to do a valve adjustment than replace the battery...

Yep, I ain't looking forward to doing it again, that's for sure....however, while I don't think I could ever do it in 15 minutes, I would imagine it would be somewhat easier..I say "would be" rather than "will be" because I have the hunch that I would be wise to bow to Father Time (I hit 80 next May) and pass this high seater along to some other enthusiast and ride my low-seat Magna cruiser. I had a noticeable amount of awkwardness on my ride yesterday due to the height of the bike versus my 29" inseam. Will take a few more rides before deciding.. Possibly am just needing to get used to it again after three weeks of not riding it at all.

Don't know how old your battery is, but I replaced the Yuasa that came with my K75 with a Scorpion AGM battery. The Scorpion slips right in.

It's only 255 CCA, but in over a year and 15.000 miles of using this battery it has not failed to start the engine, even in the winter when the bike was at 10 degrees F and lower.
Pushing 80! You're an inspiration to me at 66 that I will be able to ride a few more years.

Went the AGM route too. nice to be able to tilt the battery any direction without acid dripping out. I can now pull and replace the battery without removing the ECU compartment.

I considered a smaller battery that was 325 rated vs the one installed which is 400 rated. I am glad to hear the smaller one is working for you.
I have decided to sell the bike..I took another ride today and it was somewhat unsettling due to high seat.
$2000 cash, firm...well maintained. Has new OEM crash bars, pegs, both splines lubed last summer (dealer receipts), Pirelli tires late 2014, odometer overhauled 2015 and reset to approximate miles (was 33K and I had them set it to 40K), new front master cylinder and new throttle cable last fall...Big Windshield. both touring and sport handlebars (tourings are installed now). Corbin seat and rider or passenger adjustable backrest, owners manual, Haynes and Clymer manuals, extra parts, etc. Making $100 allowance for replacement of lost right side battery cover. Thus firm price adjusted to $1900. Very decent paint for the most part.

I use 20LB-S or AGM equivalent battery in my K's.
About the same cranking amps and smaller dimensions. It makes a very easy swap.
